handing of ironmongery items?
Handing for HingesPlease note that not all hinges are handed, but for those that
are, the following normally describes the hand. Using the above diagram, a door
closing in a clockwise direction (5) would use left handed hinges. A door
closing in an anti-clockwise direction (6) would use right handed hinges. Handing for Door LocksUsing the above diagram, a door closing in a clockwise direction
(5) would need a right handed door lock. A door closing in an anti-clockwise
direction (6) would need a left handed door lock. Handing for Bathroom FurnitureUsing the above diagram, a door closing in a clockwise direction
(5) would use left handed bathroom furniture. A door closing in an
anti-clockwise direction (6) would use right handed bathroom furniture. Handing for Door ClosersUsing the above diagram, a door closing in a clockwise direction
(5) would need a left hand door closer. A door closing in an anti-clockwise
direction (6) would need a right handed door closer. Handing for Cupboard LocksUsing the above diagram, a door closing in a clockwise direction
